Although I've never been romanced on Valentine's Day (never been on a date)..... But, I know dating can be a lot of pressure as it is, without throwing holidays into the mix. And with a certain heart-themed one in just a few weeks, the pressure’s on, especially if you just started seeing someone. But it doesn’t have to be. There are lots of Valentine’s Day date fashion ideas for new and married couples that can reduce the built-in stress.

Now, we understand that not everyone will have the same V-Day plans. Some might spend it snuggled up at home relaxing, while others may be out at an extravagant dinner, but no matter your activity, we’ve styled out a few fun date night outfits tailor-made for you and your night. If you’re hitting the town, think a formfitting dress with classic black pumps, but if you are seeing a flick, try a black mini skirt paired with ankle-boots. Ahead, a few different outfits perfect for every kind of date you might have this Valentine’s Day.

A Romantic Dinner For Two
Never underestimate the power of a little black dress. This new shape with an asymmetrical neckline looks best when paired with luxe accessories. A gold cuff and simple pump tie your look together, while a black-and-red clutch gives your outfit some much-needed flair.

Dinner And Movie
For a fun night out, opt for a look that is both feminine and flirty. Over-the-knee boots paired with a light pink mini skirt will show just a sliver of skin, and leave that special someone wanting more.

A Night In With Your Honey
After a long week of work, we don’t blame you for staying in this weekend. Keep comfortable in flats, dress pants, and a floral printed blouse with a cascading silhouette or you can go with my favorite night in outfit which is just a simple black dress with flats.

Outdoor Adventure
Maybe you and your partner are going ice skating, or taking a romantic stroll in the park. You can still look cute even if you bundle up. We recommend comfortable over-the-knee boots with a chunky sweater, a wool coat, and a cute hat to finish off the look.

Meeting Someone From Online IRL
Going on a first date on Valentine’s Day is a daring choice — so you might as well wear a daring outfit. This lace top from Free People is sexy, but the strings can be adjusted for how much cleavage you want to show. Wear it with denim flared jeans or culottes and a high heel to impress without overdoing it.

Super-Fancy Night Out
Part of the fun of planning for dinner at a fancy restaurant or the ballet is deciding what to wear. For an outfit that will easily stun your date, wear a flowy, seductive dress like this one from the Reformation, paired with a bright clutch, drop earrings, and metallic sandals.

Netflix and Chill
If you don’t plan on doing much more than watching a movie and eating popcorn with your current flame, try these slightly see-through cotton-and-lace pajamas from American Eagle or a comfortable shorts and t-shirt outfit They’ll guarantee that you’ll get more than a movie that night.

Double Date With Friends
Even if it’s just drinks at your favorite neighborhood bar and a casual dinner after, you can still get creative. Dress it up a bit with wide-leg high-waisted pants, a simple black sweater, leather jacket, and platforms to give you some height.

There have you have it folks. Whatever you ended doing for V-day, make sure you really enjoy yourselves and go easy on the chocolates.....Until next time! :-)
